On October 14th, the first track-laying component of the CCCC's Malaysia East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project successfully passed the joint inspection by the owner, Malaysia Rail Link Sdn Bhd (MRL), and the second-bid system supervisor.
The successful completion of this first-component inspection marks another milestone in the construction of the track-laying works for the project. It signifies that the entire process of track construction, from track-laying, ballast spreading and track leveling, to fine-tuning, has completed a sample project and has initially reached a handover state. This also provides valuable experience and reference for subsequent track-laying construction.
During the inspection process, the owner and the second-bid system supervisor conducted meticulous and strict inspections of the track bed cross-section and track geometry in strict accordance with relevant Chinese railway standards and design drawings. All inspection indicators met the standards and design requirements, and the inspection results received full affirmation and high praise from the owner and the second-bid system supervisor.
To date, the ECRL project has completed 260 kilometers of main line track-laying, prefabricated 770,000 sleepers, and welded 440 kilometers of long tracks for track-laying. The project is steadily progressing towards the goal of reaching Kota Bharu, the starting point of the main line, by the end of the year. Taking advantage of the successful inspection of this first-component project, the project department will fully promote track-laying and subsequent work, striving to create a high-quality and excellent project.
